welcome to the your daily oldie page

Hello, this is Marty Rimpau, the blind web master for the web site mrimpau.com, welcoming you to the page entitled your daily oldie. Well, the reason why you're here is to hear or download an oldie, right? Well, I love oldies, especially obscure oldies, so I try to feature the lesser known oldies that got played that consultants in white suits forgot about, or, think that people only like 300 of the most common oldies. if you were on my oldies list, then each day, you would be notified as to what the current oldie is. I do take requests, but only from those who are subscribed to the list, so please don't make requests unless you're subscribed to the list, as I will explain below. This is not a list serv, where you receive a confirmation message when sending me an email to subscribe to the list, but rather, my email program sends out all the messages to the list members, so what I will do is when I see your message to subscribe to the your daily oldie list, I will put you in the appropriate group, as I will explain below, and then, you'll be in my address book, so don't be alarmed if you don't receive a confirmatory message subscribing you to the list, just know that when I see your message, shortly there after, you'll be subscribed to the oldie list, and here's how to subscribe to the list. To get started, just send me an email to subscribe to the your daily oldie list and in the subject line put the words subscribe oldies, with a dash inbetween subscribe and oldies, and in the body of the message, indicate the words, either, link, where you would have to come to the page to download the oldie each day, or attachment, where an mp3 of the oldie would be sent directly to your inbox, and I'll put you in the appropriate group, but it is important that you follow the above instructions, for subscribing to the your daily oldie list, because, if you just write subscribe-oldies, and just put thank you, or nothing in the message body, I won't know which group to put you in, so please follow the above instructions, so I'll know which group to put you in. Now, for a few streams and links. A brand new list was created, by Canadian Sam Ward called our place, where everything from oldies, old time radio, and blindness issues are discussed, so, you may go here to learn more about, or subscribe to the our place list There's a good station in thousand oaks California, and you may listen to kdsk with windows media player.
